HELP!!!

This is a test to see if I can get the text to show up on my blog without the background hiding it!!!

WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO SEW?

My Inspiration comes in many different forms and areas. At the early age of 5 I had my first needle and thread put into my hands by my Grandmother. Since then I've never put a needle and thread down. My Grandmother taught me only handwork, I did not touch a sewing machine until years later.

Everything I know about sewing on a sewing machine comes from

being Self-Taught!

The Talent GOD has Blessed me with is a Gift from HIM

and what I do with My Gift from GOD is my Gift back to HIM!

After sewing for my children for many years they would approach me

many times for me to sew something for them.

It gives me a feeling of Pride that they feel confident enough

in me to ask me to make something for them and

not going somewhere else to purchase it

or asking someone else to make it for them.

There are many times I go weeks without sewing,

most often because life’s issues get in the way and

work is the main road block and there are other times where

I can not push the machine aside or put the needle and thread down.

When I am sewing whether it is in my sewing room, sitting in a Dr’ Office or

sitting out on my porch smocking or hand stitching times just slips away.

This is my get away, this is my solitude, my therapy,

my runaway from the world area.

I have burned many meals being lost in my sewing.

There are two main things that inspire me to sew,

create and design new things.

Weddings and Babies!

My mind is like a clock inside of my head that never stops turning,

I think of ideas in the middle of the night, watching TV,

eating out at a restaurant, in the shopping malls, shopping

online,

all over the place, even watching fireworks!!!!

My Life's Dream

My life’s dream is to start my own business teaching sewing

to children, young ladies and adults.

Sewing is slowly becoming a lost art and I want to do

my part in making sure it does not become that lost art.

Why sew, Why not buy it?

A lot of times I am asked what do I get out of sewing when I could just buy something from a Department Stores?

My answer to this is GOD Blessed ME! ME with an amazing talent, who am I to just let it go to waste? I want something no one else has. I always wanted to be different, I do not need what everyone else has.

When GOD gives You a GIFT take it a use it

And give GOD the GLORY!!!!

Have you ever seen the smile on someone's face when

THEY KNOW YOU MADE

that outfit!

One Yard of Fabric $8.00

One pair of Scissors - $30.00

One Computerized Sewing Machine - $3,000.00

Some's face when they know YOU MADE THAT OUTFIT!!!

PRICELESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FEELINGS

I sewed for all three of my children and all four of my grandchildren.

The feeling is amazing when your child comes up to you and tells you,

“Moma, I have red, white and blue day next week at school and I want to win!”

I knew my children had the faith and confidence in me and they knew

"Hey My Moma is Good!" even if they never said it in those words it

came out in just the "I want to win!" statement!
